This classic runabout is not a rebuild or restoration. It is a new construction reproduction of the much sought after 1940 Chris Craft Runabout called the Barrel Back using Harken plans, including drawings and documentation.

Because it is a reproduction, you can own it for a fraction of the cost of an antique and you get the benefit of modern construction materials in an antique appearance, while not having to pay over $70,000 - $100,000 for an original.

$28,000 gets you a boat that will get the same admiring looks, "oohs" and "aahs" and modern performance, as well.

Hull:
Cold Mold Marine Grade Plywood, Honduras Ribbon Mahogany Veneer, the bottom to the waterline cap is finished in 3 layers of carbon fiber using a “Vacuum Bagged” process. This is a professional grade build by a lifelong craftsman.

Power:
4.3L GM V6 with marine camshaft, Holley carb, Mallory marine distributor and ignition components, Borg Warner “Velvet Drive” transmission and marine exhaust manifold with 3” exhaust.

Steering:
Rack and Pinion steering

Fixtures:
Original Chris Craft items include Bow light, Stern “Tear Drop” Tow Eyelet, Step pads, Horn, Windshield posts and more.

Windshield:
Tinted glass with polished edges.

Interior:
Oxblood red vinyl, Banjo Wheel, Stewart Warner gauges and glove boxes front and rear.

Trailer:
Custom made trailer is included with boat. Build by boat builder using all polished aluminum, torsion independent axle, telescopic, removable tongue and removable rear bumper.

Be sure to view all pictures, including build pics to understand the quality of this piece of floating art. The owner-builder is a long time performance minded machine shop owner, race car driver, and custom car builder that brought craftsmanship and attention to detail to this personal project. Both boat and trailer are done to exacting specifications.

This boat has only 80 hours total run time and has never been in salt water.
