This classic runabout is not a rebuild or restoration. It is a new construction reproduction of the much sought after 1940 Chris Craft Runabout called the Barrel Back using Harken plans, including drawings and documentation.
Because it is a reproduction, you can own it for a fraction of the cost of an antique and you get the benefit of modern construction materials in an antique appearance, while not having to pay over $70,000 - $100,000 for an original.
$28,000 gets you a boat that will get the same admiring looks, "oohs" and "aahs" and modern performance, as well.
Hull:
Cold Mold Marine Grade Plywood, Honduras Ribbon Mahogany Veneer, the bottom to the waterline cap is finished in 3 layers of carbon fiber using a “Vacuum Bagged” process. This is a professional grade build by a lifelong craftsman.
Power:
4.3L GM V6 with marine camshaft, Holley carb, Mallory marine distributor and ignition components, Borg Warner “Velvet Drive” transmission and marine exhaust manifold with 3” exhaust.
Steering:
Rack and Pinion steering
Fixtures:
Original Chris Craft items include Bow light, Stern “Tear Drop” Tow Eyelet, Step pads, Horn, Windshield posts and more.
Windshield:
Tinted glass with polished edges.
Interior:
Oxblood red vinyl, Banjo Wheel, Stewart Warner gauges and glove boxes front and rear.
Trailer:
Custom made trailer is included with boat. Build by boat builder using all polished aluminum, torsion independent axle, telescopic, removable tongue and removable rear bumper.
